Honouring Our Volunteers and Customers
In 2026, we will be marking a significant milestone—a year dedicated to celebrating the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of our volunteers and valued customers. Over the past fifty years, our fundraising initiatives have made a meaningful impact, with the Bargain Barn serving as our primary source of funds. Our success has also been built on the enthusiasm and generosity shown at bake sales, raffles, dances, craft sales, and many other events. The list of contributions is extensive, reflecting the collective spirit of our community. Planning for a Golden Celebration Preparations for this special year are already underway. We are reaching out to our community for donations of "gold" themed décor items to help make our celebrations memorable. If you have ornaments, jewellery, napkins, household goods, bags, clothing, or any other items with a gold theme that you are willing to donate, we would be grateful for your support. All gold-themed items will be thoughtfully incorporated into our anniversary festivities. Special Request: Gold & Silver Chains and Jewellery We are particularly interested in receiving broken or damaged gold & silver chains or jewellery. These pieces will be repurposed to create a unique item for our raffle, or potentially as an auction feature during the gala event we are organizing. Your contributions will play a special role in making our celebrations truly golden. How to Donate If you would like to contribute, please contact Lesley at 778-840-1692 or by email at [email protected] to arrange for pick up. Alternatively, items can be brought directly to Donation Day, held every Friday from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Community Hall. Your generosity and community spirit are greatly appreciated as we prepare for a memorable fiftieth anniversary. We are thrilled to announce that on March 6, 2025 our Auxiliary Board voted to donate $25,000 to our Health Centre.
